Trimdon Cemetery is owned and managed by Trimdon Parish Council, which is the appointed burial authority, and it is located on the east side of Trimdon Grange (accessed off North Side Buildings).
The cemetery is relatively large, and in common with many municipal burial grounds, graves are laid out in rows with monuments arranged back to back. This means that half of the graves in the New Section of the cemetery will have the monument placed at the foot of the grave. This is to allow for ease of grass cutting and strimming, and to reduce the risk of damage to monuments by the powerful tools used.
